Then got some shed (cast) antlers from a kind man - not a pair but close

I ground the crowns flat and put some cross hatching on

Drilled some 6mm holes

Cut some lengths of 6mm threaded bar

and glued them in with two part epoxy

I offered these up to the plaque and removed the varnish etc to offer a good key

The plaque was drilled to take the posts and the antlers bonded to the plaque

I fitted a couple of brass mirror plates to the back of the plaque

The plaque and antlers are now secured to the barn overlooking the drive and cottage

I know the antlers aren't an exact match and my carpentry is....dog rough. But, given the antlers were shed and the wood was exopected to be burned, I am happy
