My latest frame tent has half a frame,I can get hold of new poles easily enough, this is a camp site after all.But have never tried this. Anyone done it? Advice on the best way to go about this?

You mean, does anyone know how to go about removing poles from other campers' tents until you have enough to re-frame yours? Well, for a start, I would suggest you not try it when they are in the tent, they might notice and not be pleased :BlueTeamE!

Maybe wear a disguise... :hatscarf: :naughty:

:D

I guess you are saying you can get hold of generic poles but you need to adapt them to match the specific poles on your tent.

Is the tent symmetrical? The only frame tents I've erected have been slightly asymmetrical, making assembling the poles a right pain in the proverbial, let alone making new ones.

C Claycomb; this is really unhelpful.

When the weathers better I will do some measuring and draw a plan.

Meanwhile,; if anyone needs any steel poles, please ask me.
