Rat prevention & eradication

Given recent forum discussions on rats, I thought this might interest some forum members. We are filming a two part series on rat control for poultry keepers & smallholders. Part 1 went live today &covers the seasonality of rat migration, identification of rat sign & making a property inhospitable.

Part 2 will look at eradication

That is more helpful than even the rat man who came to me. I shall certainly be tracking down those two products, as despite catching one in my loft, no advice was given and no steps taken to prevent further incursions.
I have all the gubbins for my heat pump up there, so I do worry.

The anti rodent spray for wiring and the caulk looks interesting.

I'm so glad that it was helpful. We are about to start filming part 2 on eradication of rats. Unfortunately when they have harbourage close to your property, killing them is the only tool left & the law on using rodenticides is changing massively
