On holiday in NZ in 2000 I fell in love with this knife. It's NZ Greenstone Jade Handle is beautifully tactile and the green and brass is gorgeous. The weight and balance is lovely for me.
I'd never heard of Svord as a maker back then and actually it's owner Bryan Baker was perhaps better known under his own name. He made knives exclusively out of tool steel at the time.
This was a year 2000 commemorative. Blade is numbered 15 of 50. Signed/etched by the Maker and Greenstone. Flip side says Svord 2000.
Sheath has had 14 years knocking about in my drawer. Couple fine scratches on the blade which I am sure you would polish out.
I seem to remember parting with NZ$ 350 for it and frankly I doubt after 14 years it's worth less.
That would be about £175 today. So that's my start point.
Having sold so much of my footlocker this year I was going to hang on to this but I expect someone will get more enjoyment out of this than me.
