quick Tarp question

I am thinking of trying out the Tatonka Tarp 3 (the 4x4 diagonal one) which is meant to be great for hammocks. Its just that along its ridgeline it will be over 5m. Do you think this length will make it cumbersome to use - finding two trees 6 metres apart and also the length of the span to hang a hammock underneath? Do you also think that larger tarps (due to their increase surface area for catching wind) are inherently weaker - more pull around the fixing points?

Any views would be valued as I have to place the order today or revert to my previous order of a Tatonka 3x4 tarp....

I've got the 4x3 and found that to be an ideal size for different applications. So far it's been a wind break, sun screen, and seen me well covered in my hammock from wind and rain. consensus round camp was 4x3 was an ideal size.

I've got a Tarp 3, I don't think the dimensions quite prepare you for how bloody enormous it really is!
Never used it in anger.
Oh, and you can't get the Tarp 3 in polycotton.

I've got the polycotton one. Brilliant for use with a hammock. Don't worry if the trees are a bit closer together. Just tie one end of the tarp around the tree. The 'wings' will still cover you effectively.

Not according to my catalogue and dealer price list, and you couldn't get 'em when I bought mine.
