Could anyone please tell me what the number on adze relates to. Mine is a No3, I have seen others numbered 1 and 2, from diffrent makers though, but the lower the number the shallower curve of the blade front to back seems to be. I guess this is a similar system to the Sheffield pattern gouges where the higher the number the greater the curve is.
