Are the small white flowers of Wood sorrel edible?

I know the leaves are, but what about the flowers, ive read nothing that has mentioned their flowers.

Thanks, Dan

I believe they are - but also can't find anthing to confirm this (yet) - they do contain oxilates so should be eaten in moderation (no more than 2 handfuls a day for an adult) as they can promote kidney stones!

Cheers Graham, the only thing i've read is in Mears' wild food book; ''The leaves are the only edibe part and need to be stripped from the thin, wiry stalks''

But no reasons not to eat the flower -in moderation of course- so maybe the just have quite a bit more oxalic acid making them a little unpalatable.
Dan.

i've eaten all the parts of wood sorrel and i'm not dead the flowers taste every bit as good as the leaves in my opinion
