in Germany they introduced a refund system on beverage tins so they´re not that easy to find anymore. Unless some kids don´t care about their parents money ...
One point I ´ve discovered pretty soon was the importance of insulating the fuel chamber from both the pot and the ground since an alc. stove has to heat up the fuel first.
If water is needed for reducing soot (as stated in some reports) the balance of fuel and combustion air isn´t sorted out well. The Simon Stove was very thirsty and produced a lot of soot
