I have a Fenix P3D which is 200 lumen at full burn. Thursday night I had the main beam of my truck providing light for a pioneering project with the Scouts and it seemed like a good comparison for the Fenix. The torch beam was visible on the hedge, about 100 metres away, lit up by the headlights. So similar intensity to main beam car headlights, though over a smaller area. The Fenix weighs about 80 grams compared to the Truck at just under a tonne!

Designed for special forces, therefore a bushcraft 'must have' bit of kit

Greetings all. I just nipped over from British Blades and saw this Nitecore thread, so joined up.
The Flashaholics logo is all over the site. Go and talk to Antony, he's very helpful and will happily supply you with the NEX R2. I upgraded to the R2 led and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. It is seriously bright, probably the brightest single CR123a battery torch on the market. For the moment!

Here you go, a teaser.
