The total lack of punctuation changes the entire meaning. LOL:

A friend of mine insists that signs are literal.

He once went into the JCB "World Parts Dept" and requested two continents and a fjord.

I suspect his belief that "Police Slow" only applies to police will get him into trouble one day though!

Mice? What do you mean mice? I think we must be talking at cross purposes. Mice to me mean the little white furry things with the cheese fixation and women standing screaming on tables in early Sixties sitcoms

I love the ones when you drive through a farm in the countryside and the sign says
" SLOW CHILDREN " ;-)

"This door is alarmed" got my sympathy until I realised it was only mildly startled.

"Diverted traffic"- My car wasn't in the least amused or distracted by the alternative road I had to take.

Apart from my favourite, the reassuring "Bridge works", I once saw a sign at the gate to a farmer's field which read

"Lambs keep dogs out"

This seemed an unlikely proposition, but I looked in the field and saw lots of lambs and no dogs at all, so it may be true.
