Protecting binos?

Just paid to have the lenses realigned on my Viking binos, less than a year old too not impressed!

Anyway what do my fellow bino users to keep them safe?

Treat them with kid gloves.

I've a new set of Minox HG 8 x 43 that won't be going anywhere arduous until I can find/commission a proper case.

+1 For taking care of them, My good lady brought me a pair of Steiners last year, & i take good care of them. I have a chap pair i keep in the kitchen & another in the van, but the steiners i lock away.

What's really annoying is I have an old pair that my dad gave me that are battered and dinged and still work fine! Just heavy lol

I carry my binos for work. Been great watching the ospreys. Down side they live in my ruck sack. I keep them in the bag and silk pouch they came with and they are usually kept at the top of my rucksack on top of water proofs fleece etc.

Guess I'm going to have to make/buy a padded bag for them like mum camera bag.

Are they a compact style? Maybe a small hard case like a Peli etc
