Hi Peep's,

well, as you know, i've been a member on here for approximately 6 months now and i've decided to make the jump and become a 'Full member'. I've gleened so much useful information from you lot and i have to thank you all very, very much. Before this turns into an oscars acceptance speach, i thought i'd try to encourage some of the newbies (that's rich coming from me!) and show them what is achievable on a budget. The first installment is this. Called 'Project No1' because i thought that BB (Budget Bushy) may be confusing.

It's not flash, it's not fantastic and i'm sure some have seen it all before, but i'll list the outgoings later. Please bear in mind that this was the first handle i'd made. Ground breaking it is not, however, if you want a different handle, on a budget or simply want to have a go, it may be useful.

Mora Frost Mortise tang blade £5.00 (e-bay)
English Walnut scales £3.00 English Rose (cheers Tracy)
Wet and Dry paper £ Free from work
Araldite Rapid twp pack adhesive £1.50 (local hardware shop)
Boiled Linseed oil £ 1.20 (local hardware....again)
Vinegar (blade patina) £ Free sachet from 'The Colonel'
Tutorial for info and tip's £ Pricless! Bushcraft UK:You_Rock_

The palm swell looks a little harsh on these photo's but it is quite subtle really. Timinwales thinks it's nicely balanced.

I just wanted some new guy's to know what is possible on a tight budget. It gets you working with your hands, and you can make your Mora a little different to everyone else's.

Be aware though. It is addictive. You want to do more.............Project 'Lupo' pic's coming shortly.

Thanks again guy's, for your inspiration, encouragment and downright helpfulness!
