I'd have to confess that we have never used it (Toddy holds her hands up in horror!), though I think that my wife remembers it being used when she was a girl. You can adjust the slicing thickness using the wingnut that you can see in some of the pictures, but that obviously only affects the thickness of the slices, not the length. Maybe you could put the slices back through it again if you just want tiny little pieces of rind rather than strips.

For some strange reason, I like lime and /or lemon marmalade but don't like orange marmalade. Guess what? I find it too bitter!

My mum's got a Spong mincer :D
It's where mince comes from. Magic!

She adds some plain biscuits afterwards to clean the grinders and the grindings
can be added to the minced beef.

Ive a spong too, its very handy.

I use it for meat, bread, apples.

Ah, the joys of labour saving gadgets!
