Its a modified Hurlock stove, british army issue from WW2 on. The original was fitted with a roarer burner, I've not seen one with a silent burner so presume its been modified. Runs on paraffin, steel tank and came with a good spares kit. A good stable stove.

May well have done Andy, it happened with other classic 'brass' stoves during WW2, I've had a few of these over the years but have only seen the steel tank versions.

edit: that will teach me to look at the pictures properly. Very nice indeed, need to find out if silent burners were factory fitted or a home mod now.

Very nice. The only downside to these is that they need to be transported vertically. If they are laid down they will leak fuel from the burner jet. You will also need to keep the airscrew open to avoid changes in air pressure causing fuel to squirt out of the jet.
