Thanks for the reply Bluffer; I'm gonna have to go that route because when I looked at the pack today I realised the velcro solution won't work; I forgot how far down the padding/breathable fabric comes on the back, ain't nothing gonna stick to that, and impossible to stitch to without ruining the pack. I'll call jayjay's and see what kind of money they're talking....................atb mac
