Postage Question

Thanks Decorum, I will try and remember that. :)

But here is another thing about my point. I found this on a website ( http://www.zenned.co.uk/shipping-by-uk-postcode.html )

....shipping to UK postcode destinations that are not on the UK mainland, such as in Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and TR postcodes...

Seems that the Highlands according to some is on another island.

One of my neighbours is a medical sales rep for Scotland for a company that supplies care and nursing homes. Her head office in London phoned and asked if she could take a bundle of literature and a box of samples and just nip over and talk to the sister at some home or other when she was up in Aberdeen anyway? It didn't look far out of her way and would save postage The potential new sales site was in Shetland
It's not the first time they've asked daft things like that either :sigh:

See map reading, interpretation and understanding ? it ought to be compulsary.

yes, if you put in say a packet weighing 2kg it will give you the parcel force prices too. it doesnt go down to postcode level though and the flat rate only applies to retail customers. Account holding business customers will pay depending on zone

Haha, your neighbour should have said yes and arranged the package to be parachuted in on her way up to Shetland, unless she was taking the ferry fro Aberdeen.
