Hi all

Have recently bought an OG PLCE Bergan from a surplus shop in Newcastle. Now notice* it has a couple of tears in the small pouch at the front, nothing serious about 2cm wide. Was wondering what the best way of patching these up would be? The material seems too thick to sew, are there any special glues etc that people use?

Nice one, Pinty

* That'll learn me for not checking it properly in the shop!

Hi Pinty, i tore a hole in one of my PLCE side pouches, and to repair it all i did was to take some scrap polycotton material i had lying around,i cut two square patches using pinking shears on the edges to stop them fraying, then i covered them in PVA glue and stuck them on either side of the tear. The PVA is white when applied but it dries clear. Its worked a treat.

Hope this is of some use to you.
