Plastic Handle Removal

Hi

Can anyone give me some advice on the safest cleanest way to get the plastic handle off a knife.

The knife is a Hultafors heavy duty - not that I imagine that makes any difference, it could equally be a Mora or something.

Easier to cut the handle off at the spine. Less material.
I have in the past used a very coarse wood file to remove the plastic handles of Moras.

I'm just going to replace the handle with a wooden one.

Remember to tape the blade first, then clasp in a vice and use an old chisel and hammer down the side of the blade.Use a hacksaw to get it started if its difficult.
