A book that they have on their recommended reads is "Grow Your Own Vegetables" by Joy Larkcom and having bought it, i think it's great. Real no nonsense stuff. It tells you exactly what to be doing each month - digging, sowing, harvesting - the lot.

Geoff Hamilton's 'Successful Organic Gardening' is a decent comprehensive guide.
