Hi mace

If you do a search for plant books then there are some other threads that might be of
use.

Some people have suggested Francis Rose's book, which has been updated
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wild-Flower-Key-Revised-identify/dp/0723251754
but there are loads of other good books recommended on here.

If you have a wander round Amazon you'll see what others have bought and what
they've said about them. I have my beadies on this one:

...and the Francis Rose, among others. I'm clearing out my shelves of books I
don't need to make room for the folios of foliage :D

Try Food for Free by Richard Mabey. It comes in pocket book size and larger soft back. It is a good starting point for what you are after.
