Planning hiking trip in Austrian alps

Hi everyone,
I am currently planning a serious multi-day hiking trip in the Austrian Alps, most likely in the Tirol. Has anyone got an experience of this? I have hiked there many times, but never a multi-day, so I am looking for tips on routes, essential kit etc.

My initial thoughts draw me towards the Oetztal valley, which while I visited a few times before, has fantastic high mountains. In terms of routes am looking at the 'adlerweg', but I have no experience of it first hand.
