Hello All, does anyone know any good places in South East England to put up my hammock and sit by an open fire under the stars.

Not asking for your secret places just the ones know to all...Apart from me at the momentg that is.

Hi Newbie
Ive done a couple of courses with work at RAF Halton. When ever im down there I always head up into Wendover Woods in my spare time. Its quite a busy area (well compared to where I live!) especially at weekends however I think the wardens close all the vehicle gates about 7pm. After this time its empty and theirs loads of good places off the paths where you can have a quiet brew or do some skills.
Overall the Chilterns seem quite good for areas of broadleaf woodland. Ta Ed

Hello Limaed,
Thanks for the response.
Just googled Wendover Woods and had a read, looks like a great place to take myself off and practice some new skills away from it all.
