Well, I only clicked on this because I didn't have a clue what a pirogue was. Then I wasn't that interested, but decided to watch it anyway.

Very glad I did. The skills and workmanship involved was superb, and also I loved the use of the different tools, using the right tool for each job. Also the care and attention involved, and the lack of hurry, being more concerned with getting it right than with getting it done by a set time. Great to see children watching and learning too.

Not see that film before ,some nice skills and some great old tools like the pivot spokeshave

Lovely film and the later development, a planked pirogue, is the easiest and quickest boat to build. Especially easy out of plywood.
