This one is 22 inch pit to pit so for a 40 chest really. I'm 42 / 44 and can get it on, but it's snug.

I now have several Pendleton wool shirts (although all mine are wool tartan design), when buying these from the States I took advice from an American friend, buy bigger than you think you need. I'm 44" chest 38" waist and go for XXL when I can, that said I've two XL that fit fine, all depends on how they were washed in the past I guess.

Slightly too snug for me, but just to say to anyone it'll fit these are great. I have a couple and my black watch tartan Pendelton wool shirt is my favourite winter shirt. Love them.
