Paracord is overrated and overpriced lawnmower starter cord is cheaper and indestructible when learning bowdrill I could practise for days hour's on end without it breaking
It was in my learning phase I can switch in between primitive and bushcraft if I was going primitive id use braided scraped pine roots as cordage btw paracord isn't primitive eitherLawnmower starter cord doesn't sound very primitive.
Lawnmower starter cord doesn't sound
Spruce roots are best it's the outdoorsmans wire single strands make brilliant snares to as it is scraped and looped but they get brittle over timeLawnmower starter cord doesn't sound very primitive.

It works better than paracord for me k like the fact it doesn't stretch it keeps very tight ,there's a lot of friction fire legends who prefer it over paracord the first one that springs to mind is "Leigh Robinson" author of "the bowdrill bible"Starter cord is the recommended material for learning bow drill because it doesn't stretch as it warms up and you can get it for about 20p/m - the only problem is it comes in white or white with stripes
Lawnmower starter cord is much tougher stuffFWIW I use paracord in my lawnmower!
FWIW I use paracord in my lawnmower!
What does fwiw stand forFWIW I use a key
But, I take your point, I have no idea why lawnmower cord is considered to need to be so tough.
