Paddle Strop

Hi guys,

Can anyone suggest a good paddle strop / seller? I've been using my leather belt since I've got into sharpening knives but I'd like something a bit more dedicated and specific for the job. Also, I've been reading about stropping compounds and would like to avoid starting to coat my nice leather belt in a loads of goo.

So, any ideas? Also looking for a good stropping compound source if you have one.

Get some green chromium oxide powder if your after something very fine to use before plain leather. This should last a couple of lifetimes...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100g-Chro...Equipment_Lab_Supplies_ET&hash=item4aaa68462c

I use this on my cut throat razors when plain leather stropping is not enough but honing is not yet warrented.

If you want a coarser strop paste then I cant be of help.

I made one from some leather off an old settee, I put this on too some wood about 10x6 inches and use the stick that came with my Flexcut kit and it does a great job wouldn't change it now.
