Looking at getting a overstrike guard for my Wildlife hatchet. It currently has a paracord wrap to do the job, but 'fancy' treating it to a leather guard. I'll be honest, and say I like the look, but as a scout leader, it may get lent out, so also want to protect it. Can somebody recommend what leather I would need to make one please (Ebay link would be fab). Never worked leather before, so thought it would be nice to make one myself instead of buying one. I've looked into leather offcuts etc, and there seems loads of different stuff out there.
