What you mean by "over writing"?

Does it do it in other applications? Try hitting the "Ins" or "Insert" button to see if that's the problem.

say i write a sentance in the "reply thread" box then decide i need to add a work at the beggining of the sentance if i move the cursor to the begging of the sentance and type, my words which are already there, rather being moved along get writed over the top of which really mess things up. :yikes:

i think the prob is on your keyboard mate

hit the "insert" key and your problems should clear up

it is to the right of the typing keys in a little group with page up page down and home

I think word has a sperate setting for this Andy

i dont have word installed at the moment or i would tell you exactly where to find it

try options from the tools menu

i think it is a tickbox that says "overwrite existing text"
