A local group that does sword fighting etc. asked me to make them a sword baldric thingie for their champion fencer. The belt is three layers thick at the buckle and where the sword part attaches. Anyone that hand sews thick leather knows what a pain in the butt multiple layers are. I broke a few needles and donated a lot of blood to the cause. I really need to raise my prices. The adjustment on it will fit everything from a rapier up to my ole viking sword.
