Many decades ago I just surrendered to the two wheel addiction and gave up any hope that time and age would cure me. It was cowardly of me I know, but the howl of a Japanese four or the beat of a parallel twin to me was more addictive than any Columbian Marching Powder.
My problem was not even solved by the heart breaking disposal of my Moto Guzzi California when I realised it was far too heavy to handle after I injured myself (Not on the bike..) Now Mr Honda 350cc provides the necessary medication and today with the land green and beautiful in warm sunshine, it was time for a fix..:)

The Preseli Hills near home. I read that some of the stones for Stonehenge originated here, although other places also make the same claim.

I have to exert some self control, otherwise I would just keep riding and find myself disappearing into the hazy distance. Today was an 87 mile circular..

It's not about speed, not even when I had the bikes to do well into three figures. This Scooter cruises happily at 70 mph with me and camping gear aboard, it's just the views, freedom and especially at certain times of the year the smells. Today it was the Thorn Bushes covered with blossom and literally thousands of Daffodils along the hedgerows.

This year it seems it seems that the daffs have worked out a system where as one lot withers another crowd bloom.
Final climb back over the hills to home on the coast.

Get yerself along to a few rallies along with the rest of us greybeards! A few pints, camping out, and talking a load of bolleaux for a weekend is a very liberating and cathartic exercise ! :)

What a beautiful day. And here I am inside sorting my drawings. (I am fearful that my first foray into the Wonderful World of Books is going to be drawing; I have zero artistic skill.)

:) Been there done that Bob, from the early days when the HA ran their early meets from Angel Farm in Kent, and Rallies through all the years I was in MAG. I like the solitude and dark skies at night now.
