Knowing about this pack only by seing pictures I find one thing to complain about; why is there a seam in the middle of the compartment lids?

thanks @Jared , now to find a supplier to the UK.

i also noticed the seam your talking about @Herman30 and assumed it was to maybe act as some form of 3d expansion fold out if the pocket gets fuller? but upon further inspection im not sure if that is the case

Maybe because smaller sewn segments, which can use more of the left over fabric, are a little cheaper to manufacture than whole one piece pannels. Looks like this particular bag was designed to be more urban tacticool than field worthy.
