Im trying to resist temptation since my storage is limited these days.

But hey, who could resist this? I have already one I keep my brushes in...But its plastic.

I dont know, it has a flecked grain and is more yellow than pink...could be beech.

But its a great catch. Im half tempted to take it to class, but am afraid of damaging it. I think Ill use it as a desk top pencil case instead.

How much are these things these days? It seems to be modern more than a vintage example.

No idea - probably not that expensive - but who cares? Its lovely. I picked up a crystal Frank Thrower decanter for £1 the other day. Not worth a fortune but a lovely thing and a design classic.
