While out far a walk this morning, I came across a small oak covered in galls, never seen this many on one tree...
 
Marble galls are made by a wasp that is relatively new to the UK, in the last 50 years I think, maybe less. Some year it does very well, then others it is absent almost entirely.

I saw loads of robins pincushion or Bedeguar galls on dog rose this year.
