One of our Xmas traditions - a marzipan Santa head for on top of the cake

This year he looks a bit startled .. but that might just be the flash....
To give an idea of size, that is the back of a dinner plate he is mounted on while the paint (food colouring) dries

I used marzipan for quick energy boosts in my hiking days ~ doesn't melt in the heat, doesn't freeze solid in the (general UK's) cold .
