Yes... it does show the fundemental lack of understanding the lunatic fringe of the animal rights movement are wont to show.
Channel tunnel is just up the road southey, approx £50 buys you an afternoon return and if you fill the car with a mix of groceries, booze and foie gras you'll probably save on the equivalent shop at Tesco even if you factor in the fuel to get you there and back. If not financially, then without a doubt ethically - Tesco are to the Supermarket what Facebook is to Web 2.0

Err... I must have missed that post then. Nope... re-read each of southey's posts and I can't find an insult. I can see that someone so minded might have felt offended by something he posted, but that's not the same thing.
I would ask, why are you upset by what you assume I meant? Please high light what I have typed that has annoyed you

Out of interest, how many folk actually wear a Nupste vest or jacket or use their sleeping bags.
My vest is coming up for 12 years old now, was it made in Port Glasgow or Belgium or somewhere the quality control did not care where the down originated from.

Is there a massive price difference between say organic raised in this post code and given a sponge bath every night and a cuddle every morning beef and standard beef? for example, much in the same way you will see a price hike when north face start putting pictures of the happy plucked geese they start using for there jackets.
If you want to know the name of the cow you eat, you will either start a farm or pay a premium, I like farmers, I have never yet met a person who buys goods with a trail back to the suppliers agents be it food or kit who doesn't make it a statement in their lives and feel the need to tell others about it, I my personal experience

Well, if that is your personal experience then so be it. But I am telling you that not everyone that cares about how something is produced or its impact does it to look smug. I'm hoping you can accept this without calling my psychological state into question as I am quite calm and not at all het up!
I also hope you might think twice before labelling people you don't know because of your interaction with a few people who happen to have made the same choices..
