had thoughts of making myself a Christmas wreath on this meet. plenty of berried holly, loads of ivy of course! sprinkle in a few cones and a bit of yew etc. all on a base of coppiced hazel whips. ok not your usual ruffty tuffty bushcraft past time, but have you seen the price of these things!?

well as always, there's the woodpile to top up, which in turn increases our pitch options and doubles as a useful wind break. other than that and what I intend to make re festive wreath, its up to you lot to come up with something... or not.

yes that should be fine, I thought maybe some ungodly before dawn hour! as for pitch, I will confirm that nearer the time it is of course weather dependant.

I'll drop into the gun club for some spent cartridges for wreath baubles... Will see if I can find some gardening wire too but not sure how much I have. And I'll be a willing workhorse for any workparty bow saw at the ready then! It'll be good to do some grafting

And not on my Christmas leave till 20th December, so will be unable to attend the Christmas meet. Hope you all have a great time of it. would love to see some pictures of the woods in her winter clothes.
