bringing this info to the front in case any of you missed it. :)

had a wander down North Wood this afternoon :)

the wood is looking good and coming to life, there's a tinge of green about the branches now as the leaves unfurl. there are a few bluebells coming into flower and thousands still to follow! spoke to Gordon the farmer he would appreciate us keeping off the large areas of bluebells. with this in mind as i walked around this is the plan.

At the moment the ground is dry if this continues into next week (i will check conditions nearer the time) the first option will be lower NW and parking on CP3, see map. if this proves impractical then we will camp at the upper (farm) end and park on CP2. normally this camping area would overspill onto the right side of the fork opposite the Urn, not on this occasion that is heavy with bluebells. all being well we will get to the lower end with plenty of room. any questions ask in the thread or PM :)

Unfortuantely my work has decided I need to be on call this weekend and have to be within 15 minutes form work so I will not be able to make the meet.

I was looking forward to being there for the bluebell meet but now it will not happen :(

I am determined though to get out this weekend and do some flint knapping next on our hills.

more items added to my carboot list here. :)

pitch update.

North Wood ground conditions still good, outlook is not too bad either for what its worth. so unless there is a drastic change over the next 24 hours, we will be on the lower NW pitch and parking will be on CP3, See map. worst case scenario if it gets iffy we relocate cars to CP2 and walk kit out an extra 100mtrs! i will be there about 0800 Friday, if the field gate is closed make sure you close it behind you :)

Thanks to Steve (woodspirits), MartinK9 and Mike for sorting out my new DD Frontline hammock with the whoopie slings and tree huggers.

My first night in a hammock was a resounding success and I am well happy with my purchases from the car boot

I'll post few photos from me when I get back from my kid's gymnastics session!

Thanks again

John
