Hi,
As I presently have a lot of time on my hands due to redundancy I am thinking about some weekend hiking trips for next year. Someone bought me the books for walking the Tyne a few years ago so i thought about doing either the North or the South Tyne (each very roughly 50 miles) over a long weekend.
My plan is to carry everything I need (though i may stop at a village pub for dinner if i get my timing right) and probably take a friend along to help carry the tent / keep me company!
Has anyone done the South Tyne Trail (official footpath) or walked the routes alongside the North Tyne (non official and quite a bit of connecting road walking)?
Thanks
