hello there
anybody has experience with this piece of clothing?
its made of 3 layer gore pro shell, was tested in arctic by explorer borge ousland,
its his design, and each jacket has his signature...
price is little bit out of this world but anyway,is there anybody who has experience with this jacket?

Sorry, no. But I have several other items from Norrøna. They are extremely well made. I can't fault them. I feel they are worth their price in the long run.

It isn't made from Goretex anymore though, look at their webpage, it says Dri3.

Like Big S, I dont have the item you have mentioned, but i have a pair of Norrona Recon over trousers, and although they are expensive, they are quality and well made, it really is a question of what you can afford at any given time, if you have the money, go for it as i believe you pay for quality....

hope this helps

Colin

They ARE made from 3-layer Goretex Proshell fabric and are beautifully constructed. They are sized generously to allow for layering underneath and the Olive Night colour is actually quite nice. The hood is extremely good and has a strip of velcro just inside the stiffened peak to allow the attachment of a strip of fur for when the weather really closes down. It is longer than your average currently available waterproof top and blessed with four pretty cavernous pockets (2 on the chest; 2 below the waist), each closed with velcro flap. You get one inside pocket (quite small) as well. The pit zips (never something I've particularly liked on a jacket...) are well thought-out and have decent pullers to ventilate. Add to that draw cords at waist and hem and a crotch strap (presumably to avoid those 'Seven Year Itch' moments!) and that's about it. For such a large garment, I was impressed by its light weight and hope that this does not imply that it is going to be flimsy, though, having tried a few other Norrona things, this is most unlikely. Surface impressions are all to the positive. Now, all I need is some truly vile weather to give it a real test. :D

They are difficult to get hold of - I had to trawl through a good number of Norwegian retailers before finding one that had my size in stock (Norrona's online shop couldn't supply) and they are blindingly expensive but, given the quality of manufacture and, I hope, their longevity, it could be a good investment; time will tell!

All in all, I am impressed so far and am hoping for great things from it for quite a while. It does, however, still make my eyes water to think of the price of it....

I found it by clicking on the 'Svalbard' bit, then one of the garments. When that screen came up, I used the top bit to choose gender, concept and jackets and it popped up as one of the options, at the end of the line, labelled 'New'. It definitely is Proshell as it arrived with all the tags from Gore dangling off it. Maybe they've decided not to sell them in Sweden...? Diplomatic pique? ;)

As for the colours, they do red, olive night and, if memory serves me correctly, blue.
