If you have nice weather and fancy a picnic in interesting surroundings, try Baconsthorpe Castle (ruin) just outside Holt, which is about 10 miles west of Cromer on the A148. Kids will like it but there are 'no facilities' it's out in the boondocks but worth a look on a nice day.

It's the Lord Mayors procession in Norwich tomorrow so the city will be heaving. There is some nice woodland over Sheringham way at Pretty Corner. If you hit the beach keep an eye out for iron pyrite for your primitive firestarting kit, and flint is everywhere.
