I'm planning a roadtrip to Nordkapp, Norway from Belgium, 8th to 18th. So I'll be up in the polar (well, cold) regions from 10th-14th.
Any tips and advice? Several people told me I should have snowchains with me, but I don't believe that, there can't be snow there before the middle of september?
Do I need special equipment (is there cellular coverage on the artery roads, or do I need a CB of VHF radio as safety equipment)?

Thanks.

Nevermind, my free days have been redrawn :-(
Maybe people who know the answers could post anyhow, for good measure and for other people.

Hi.
Some info if you should drive to north cape some time in the future.
In mid september there could be snow on some "mountain passes", but usually it is too early. Anyway if it should snow it is usually melted away in half a day this time of year.

There is cellular cover on most of the norwegian mainland (along the roads). No need to bring CB or VHF radio.
A map showing the coverage for GSM.
