Noobie from Hertfordshire

Hi everyone,

I came across these forums while trying to find what different types of bushcraft skills there are, I really am a noobie when it comes to this topic however I have recently taken a slight interest to bushcraft etc. I think it would be useful to have a basic understanding

I'm deciding on a knife to get and I have a couple in mind, but I would like to find out what sorts of things are done around a campsite with the use of knives before I decide...

... I know of battoning and chopping; that's about it! So if anyone could tell me more bushcraft skills that are out there then it would be appreciated
