I was out with a stalker that had one, i tried one on at a game fair in edinburgh and was extrmely impressed, they are bomb proof, i wish they did one that had a full length zip no hood and big cartridge pockets would be a good base layer under my barbour in the depth of winter or a good rest of year jacket!!

Nice looking jacket, I could happily wear that.

I with the others though, £300 for a fleece is a bit much. You could get a Swazi Tahr with a full goretex lining for that kind of money.

I agree £300 is a lot of money ,i got mine from a gamefair with a discount for £ 230 , 4 years ago.But having tried several other coats , ranging from cheap waterproof's to dearer so called waterproof's, i think i'd buy another one though i would be tempted by either a swazi tahr or the rigeline monsoon

Wanted one for ages, wife bought me one for my birthday. Great looking bit of kit. I work as a gamekeeper and have loads of gear, but this was to be the pride of my collection. Sadly, it leaks. Not just a wee spot from a seam, I mean properly leaking badly, my shirt was soaked to the point where I could wring it out. That was after just shy of two hours in pretty average conditions. I've got £20 pac-a-macs that have held up better.

I have written to Nomad and really hope we can get it sorted. It gets very good reviews and I have heard many, many good things about them so figure I just got a dud. A shame really as I waited ages for it. I don't have the funds to just go out and splash £350 on a Swazi and I really wanted to buy British.

So, looks greats, feels greats, is comfy as hell, silent on the hill.... but mine leaks like a seive :(

I have a Bison Bushcraft tweed, moleskin lined full zipped bush shirt (jacket) on order. Looks similar and was £240. Have not seen any other reviews of this item of Bison site so will reveiw the item when received. Anyone else have this item who would care to comment on it?

I've got one of these. It's no lightweight but is one of the most useful garments in autumn and winter. Good pockets, OK hood, warm, hard wearing and beautifully made. Not the world's cheapest but it'll last a long, long time and will only get better with use.

Hope this helps.

Looks stunning bit of kit, but that's a tonne of money. If I was minted and spent more time outdoors and less time working for the man, I'd go for one of those or similar.

brilliant bit of kit !!! i have 2 smocks done by Nomad, the quad rider and the stalker both are fantasic iteams of clothing and have had mine for a fe years now. also have a shooting jacket from them which i picked up for £80 at the Kelmash games fair 2 years back, which again is a fantastic bit of british clothing. i would also look at "country covers" clothing as their stuff is dame good too :)
