I think I may have just found my dream backpack system. made by Nimrod packs . Does anyone have any experience with their gear? I'm this close to hitting the order button

too complex with too much to break for my taste. A bit of jack of all trades master of non, but everyone has different requiremnts & tastes. I much prefer a well made plain sac with removable side pockets if need be.
That pack looks like a nice one... I like the idea of lugging everything around, making camp somewhere and modifying your pack for light walks.
removable side pockets are ok, I have a set with my bergen but you need to stash the yoke part somewhere and they're a pain in the rear end to take off and reattach well. It's just too much agro for me.
If the one you just ordered works well, I think you may be on to something good.
I just got a nice duluthpack one though which has nothing removable at all, infact there's no plastic on it at all, or nylon or anything modern... so you get an idea of my taste

sorry about this but I cant say I like the look of those packs at all.

The back system looks comfier than most military/hunting packs, but it is really heavy at a little under 3kg's. If you are planning on walking any distance over many days, I'd look again.
