Nice Lodge/Cabin in North?

Hello

I lurk on here a fair bit but don't post much.
I'm looking for a lodge or cabin in the north of england.
I live in Wakefield West Yorkshire and i'm willing to travel [i don't drive].
I'd go bivvying but the girlfriend can't handle the cold like i can.
So if anyone knows of a nice lodge/cabin [with log fire] i'd apprieciate the info.

There are some nice log cabins up York way somewhere, I was supposed to go a couple of years ago but me and the missus had to pull out at the last minute. I can`t remember the name but i`m sure you`ll be able to google it.

There are a couple of guys in here from York area so they might know.

To be fair the whole of the YHA is a great set up...only just registered last year and done it a couple of times...especially in England..brilliant

There are some lovely log cabins in Kielder forest, right next to the visitor centre, heated swimming pool, bike hire place and on the edge of Kielder water.

It could well be worth joining The Mountain Bothy Association

As far as I remember its only about fifteen quid per year and they also maintain them.
