Kit arrived today and it's first class.
Very comprehensive kit, very nice scale material, good quality leather for sheath and even a little block of bee's wax for the thread .
Looks like the seller only has a couple left if anyone is interested.

Cheers for the heads up RB. I haven't been on Airgun BBS for a while - always to much flaming going on for me!
Kit ordered :D

It's a bit like the wild west over there sometimes but it is a nice little kit.

well here is the result of my attempt!

I decided to use some pale scales instaed of the cocobolo Jackel supplied in the kit and changed the handle profile slightly (smoothed out the 'point' on the finger grip. The blade (bar the grind) and the lanyard hole is mirror polished, not that my photography shows it very well

hope you like it!

now for the sheath........

Nice one Graham. I'm just final sanding mine and will stick a piccie up when done.

I like what you did with the lanyard hole. I wish I had thought of that - instead I re-drilled the hole to take some 6mm tube i've got and the end result is a little too near to the edge of the tang for my liking. Still it's all learning I suppose

Got around to making mine yesterday.
The scales supplied are lovely but a little thin for what i had in mind (and most people will be using them so i wanted to do something different).

I used Australian Silky Oak, black fibre liners and mosaic pin.

Just a simple slip sheath with no belt loop.

The scales are pretty substantial and the welt is 3/4" thick.

Here's my effort. I went for a different wood as well because the scales provided weren't quite deep enough for what I wanted to do. Spalted Sycamore, brass pins and lanyard. :)
