I've had this knife forever.
3mm spine, drop point, triple zone hardened 01 tool steel. Walnut Burl, with brass loveless bolts. Very sturdy.
Anyway, decided to make a new sheath for it and refurbish it.
I just need to polish the blade up on the stones.
I dyed it bucksin, and did a basketweave pattern, with shell camoflage tool, and dyed mahogany trim. The stitching is artificial waxed sinew.
The dangler is connected [like some Bison Bushcraft knives] with a 4mm round leather thong. Which is surprisingly strong.
I think its turned out nice. Welt, is about 14mm thick. Nice and sturdy.
