New project

Got myself a used canoe to restore. Needs new gunnels and a thwart. I think it needs some buoyancy blocks fore and aft too, only because she is old, fibreglass and heavy. Would love to paint her but I've been told it doesn't last. Open to any advice on restoring her, thinking of using marine ply to replace all timber.

Well, I've decided not to restore this canoe.
I'm buying an old town off my friend instead
It's all whistles and bells ready to go.
Anyone want a project?

Ha ha, sometimes the best route is the simple one! It gets you on the water with the least hassle.

Well ma new project got sold for less than I paid, so I went and bought an old town discovery 158 instead
