Hey everyone! I’m a new member, so I thought I’d introduce myself. I’ve been following the posts on the forum for some time and I have been lucky enough to benefit from some of the information provided by the bushcraftuk community. I have joined the community because I would like to provide input in more topics, my hope being that I can offer other community members something of value, through my experiences. I will however mainly be a student of most topics and it’s my intention to gain more understanding of bushcraft, specifically plant identification, while also connecting with likeminded people. I was raised in the Lake District, in which time I have acquired the skills necessary to thrive in my area, with nothing much but the clothes I went out in. My favoured subject is fishing. I’ll be more than happy to help people out and answer any questions, if I can :)

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy it here

Fishing you say?
In the Lake District? :bluethinking:
My impression was that the story that there are fish in the Lake District was all just a ploy by the Cumbria tourist board…
;)

Hi thanks Chris.

Yes, although I’m unsure at which point ‘fishing’ just becomes ‘standing around, freezing, wiggling your toes’.

I’ve definitely become pretty good at the latter… which leaves me to think it must be a ploy by every tourist board across the UK.
