New member in Ireland

Hi there,

I'm here to bone up a bit on all things bushcraft. I became a daddy last year, and I've decided that I want to relearn backwoodsmanship to teach my son when he gets older.

I have a little bit of a outdoors background, I used to be in the scouts, the ACF, British Army (Signals), and I'm now an Irish Army Reservist. I work as a Datacentre Technician.

I have a heap of Gucci kit too that needs more outings.

So, that's a bit about me. I look forward to lurking the boards and participating in the discussion.

Thanks for the welcome lads.

And just to clear up any confusion, I'm not actually Irish. Technically I'm British (lived in Essex for the most part), but I have a mixed heritage of Irish/Dutch origin. Plus I was a pad-brat while my Dad was in the Army so spent my first 9 years living in Germany.

Basically, I'm a bit of a nomadic mongrel who's now happily settled in Ireland.
